Raja Asad Zaheer (CEO)
Asad is working at Sofnix since March 2007. He did his MS(Software Systems and Engineering) from M.A.J.U, Islamabad. He is PMI-ACP certified professional from PMI USA and active member of PMI Islamabad Chapter. Before Sofnix, he worked as Software Developer ... in Usaimi Gulf, Kuwait. At Sofnix, he worked on vast array of projects and got involved in development of almost all major products/projects. His approach of learning¸ continuous improvement and adaptability has helped build a reliably functional team alongside keeping highly satisfied clients.
Asad believes in imparting knowledge to people around and even academia. To bridge the gap, he is associated with various research groups in Academia. He initiated and coordinated research group named Centre for Distributed and Semantic Computing (CDSC) in M.A.J.U(Currently Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad), which is currently the largest and high impact research group under the leadership of Dr. Abdul Qadir (Dean Faculty of CS). He also delivers lectures as visiting faculty member of Riphah International University at MS Level to Professionals. The recent courses he taught include “Agile Software Development”, “Software Project Management” and “Enterprise Architecture Development” in 2016-17. He also supervised successful MS thesis in Agile Security. He is a DBLP Indexed scientist with publications of international repute on distributed, semantic, grid computing and agile frameworks. His recent publication as first author is “An Agile, Intelligent and Scalable Framework for Global Software Development”, published in ICSESS, Turkey.
Muhammad Usman Khan (Development Manager)
Usman did his Masters in Computer Sciences via specializing in “Wireless Sensor Networks and their implementation in SmartHomes”. He possess broad level experience in working with big data. He has been a part of multiple research teams working on Smart home ... technologies. Besides that Usman has been working on multiple enterprise level web solutions since past 13 years. He did his graduation in Computer Science from International Islamic University Islamabad in 2006 and has been associated with Sofnix for the past 10 years. Prior to joining Sofnix, Usman has been working with Infoquest and SermoGroup and has developed ERP solutions for Vehicles Management (Dubai), Accident Management (UK), VVIP Guest Solution(Sweden). Here, in Sofnix, he remained involved in Web Development related projects as well as Integration Systems with third party systems.
Other than software development, Usman has been handling enterprise level cloud infrastructures via Microsoft Azure and especially via Amazon AWS. He bears core expertise required for Database and Service optimizations via cost and time efficient migrations form typical systems to latest available cloud computing options.
