Sofnix team consists of almost 50 dedicated resources working in five functional departments. We encourage cross training to foster a deeper technical understanding between functional teams.
Aswad Rehan Akram (Managing Director)
Aswad has 10 years of experience working in software design, technologies and programming languages. He has worked with a number of technology and delivered many successful projects involving cutting edge technologies including Java, .NET, XML and Web Services. Prior to working at Sofnix, Aswad was employed for four years as a Project Manager at Elixir Technologies Inc., a multinational company specializing in providing software and solutions for the printing industry, with offices in the U.S., Czech Republic, and Pakistan. Aswad holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical with a specialization in Electronics. He graduated from National University of Sciences and Technologies, Islamabad. Aswad switched to the software industry early in his career to pursue his passion for innovation. He loves playing all sorts of sports, especially squash and tennis.

Muhammad Zaidi, PMP (Executive Project Manager)
Zaidi is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Masters Degree in Communication and Interactivity from Linkoping University, Sweden. He did his Bachelor’s Degree in Computing Software Development from the University Of Huddersfield, UK. Before joining Sofnix, Zaidi was employed by PrisLogix where he worked as an Analyst and Project Manager for a number of international projects for airlines and hospitals. During his stay in Sweden, he worked as a research employee at Natural Language Processing Lab, IDA, where he was involved in the project “Dialogue Partners and Intelligent Agents for Websites.” While pursuing his education, Zaidi was involved in a number of research projects in the field of human computer interaction and usability engineering. He likes to travel while observing various traditions and cultures.

Naqi Abbas (Development Manager)

Before joining Sofnix he was serving in Elixir Technologies as Software Engineer.

Usman Zubair Ansari (Development Manager)
Usman is Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS). He did his BS in Computer Science from M.A.J.U and has been associated with Sofnix for the past 4 years. Prior to joining Sofnix, Usman completed his internship from Elixir Technologies Inc. where he researched and proposed Color Model for Elixir's Printing Solution software’s. As Development Manager, at present, he is heading the "Web Application & Data Services" and "DAISY DTB (Digital Talking Book)" teams. Usman is a keen follower of Medieval and Modern age history and enjoys sports & travel in his leisure time.

Adeel Iqbal (Associate Project Manager)
Did his MS in Engineering & Management of Information Systems from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) Sweden. His core areas of expertise are in Project Management, Data warehousing, Data Analysis and DSS Applications. Prior to Sofnix he was Associate Project Manager in FAST-NU DSS project where he and his team developed a full fledge DSS (DHW-Data Mining) application for Agriculture sector. He was also awarded Global entrepreneur leadership certificate from Stanford Centre for professional Development Stanford University USA. He likes to play soccer & table tennis.

Raja Asad Zaheer (Functional Manager)
Did his MS in Software Systems and Engineering from M.A.J.U and associated with Sofnix from more than 2 Years. Before joining Sofnix he was serving in Usaimi Gulf, Kuwait as a Software Developer. With interest in research and development, Asad has publications in conferences of international repute. Some of his publications are indexed in DBLP research Index and are part of Book Chapters on Semantic Caching. His main area of research includes Data Grids, Semantic Caching, Distributed Systems, and Distributed Security etc. During his studies, he initiated and coordinated CDSC (Centre for Distributed and Semantic Computing). CDSC is currently one of the top research groups in MAJU with highest number of publications for any group in the university. He takes part in the invited research discussions of the same group.

Affan Toor (Functional Manager)
Affan graduated in Computer Sciences from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. He is working as Functional Manager Braille in Sofnix since last one and half year. Before that he worked in CAIR FAST-NU as DataWareHouse Developer. His expertise is in web and desktop applications in .net technologies.

Ashfaq Ahmed (Manager Quality Assurance)
Did Masters in Computer Sciences (MCS) from University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi in 2005. Total working experience is 4.5 years. Before joining Sofnix Pvt Ltd, he worked in Ignite Technologies as an Executive Assistant.
