Sofnix team consists of almost 50 dedicated resources working in five functional departments. We encourage cross training to foster a deeper technical understanding between functional teams.

Aswad Rehan Akram (Managing Director)
Aswad has 10 years of experience working in software design, technologies and programming languages. He has worked with a number of technology and delivered many successful projects involving cutting edge technologies including Java, .NET, XML and Web Services. Prior to working at Sofnix, Aswad was employed for four years as a Project Manager at Elixir Technologies Inc., a multinational company specializing in providing software and solutions for the printing industry, with offices in the U.S., Czech Republic, and Pakistan. Aswad holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical with a specialization in Electronics. He graduated from National University of Sciences and Technologies, Islamabad. Aswad switched to the software industry early in his career to pursue his passion for innovation. He loves playing all sorts of sports, especially squash and tennis.

Naqi Abbas (Project Manager)
Naqi is working as Project Manager R&D. He has an experience of ten years in software development. His core expertise are Algorithm Designing and Problem Solving. He has worked in C#, C++, XML, XSL and XML Schema technologies. He has been with Sofnix for more than 7 years. During his stay he has headed four different teams. He has designed and implemented our Print and Braille Production System. Before working here, he was working with Elixir Technologies, a US based Software House. During his stay with Elixir Technologies, he worked on Barcodes, AFP (IBM Print Stream) and VIPP (Xerox Print Stream) Parsers and converters. He has two all Pakistan Software competition wins under his belt. .

Raja Asad Zaheer (Development Manager)
Did his MS in Software Systems and Engineering from M.A.J.U and associated with Sofnix since March 2007. Before joining Sofnix he was serving in Usaimi Gulf, Kuwait as a Software Developer. With interest in research and development, Asad has publications in conferences of international repute. Some of his publications are indexed in DBLP research Index and are part of Book Chapters on Semantic Caching. His main area of research includes Data Grids, Semantic Caching, Distributed Systems, and Distributed Security etc. During his studies, he initiated and coordinated CDSC (Centre for Distributed and Semantic Computing). CDSC is currently one of the top research groups in MAJU with highest number of publications for any group in the university. He takes part in the invited research discussions of the same group.

Muhammad Usman Khan (Development Manager)
Usman did his BS in Computer Science from International Islamic University Islamabad and has been associated with Sofnix for the past 3 years. Prior to joining Sofnix, Usman has been working with Infoquest and SermoGroup and has developed ERP solutions for Vehicles Management (Dubai), Accident Management (UK), VVIP Guest Solution(Sweden). Here, in Sofnix, he remained involved in Web Development related projects as well as Intergration Systems with third party systems.

Adeel Minhas (Finance Manager)
Adeel Minhas did his CA (Intermediate) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He has obtained Certificate of Certified Financial Consultant from Institute of Financial Consultants, Canada. He is working with Sofnix (Pvt) Ltd since 2010. Prior to Joining Sofnix (Pvt) Ltd, He has been working with KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co (a chartered accountant firm) as Audit Senior for five years. He has provided audit services to different National and Multinational organizations. He has also been in U.A.E. for several months to provide audit services to Multinationals on behalf of KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co.

Samiullah (HR Manager)
Sami is an energetic graduate from Allama Iqbal University and has been associated with Sofnix since 2006. He is administrating all official matters and public dealings with external world. He is the person here who prepares/presents/implements all HR policies for in-office matters as well as for Hiring new employees

Sumbul Mir (Project Specialist)
She did her Graduation in Computer Science and has been working at Sofnix since 2007. During her stay at Sofnix she worked as part of Data-Conversion and Operations team. Currently she deals with Shipment Process and Channel Development. Her interests lie in reading and networking with people.

Ashfaq Ahmed (Manager Quality Assurance)

Did Masters in Computer Sciences (MCS) from University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi in 2005 and has been working at Sofnix since 2007. Before joining Sofnix Pvt Ltd, he worked in Ignite Technologies as an Executive Assistant.
